As a cat owner living in the UAE, I have firsthand encountered the challenge of finding reliable pet care when I’m not around. Owing to many years of working in the pet sitting industry, I am excited to offer this comprehensive guide to help you choose the perfect option for your cat when you are away.
Selecting the Right Pet Sitter in the UAE
Living in Dubai or Abu Dhabi comes with unique challenges for people who own pets. On the whole, the migrant fluctuating community makes it difficult to rely on traditional options such as family for cat care. Plus, our hot climate requires sitters who understand local pet care needs. In reality, leaving your cat with the incorrect caregiver can result in worry, inadequate diet, and potential health issues. Therefore, it is important to work with a reliable and skilled pet-sitting company.
Top Pet Sitting Options in the UAE
1. In-Home Pet Sitting Services
This option has become increasingly popular among UAE cat owners, and for good reason. In fact, your cat stays in their familiar environment, maintaining their routine and comfort level. Still, this is especially beneficial for shy or anxious felines who may struggle with the upheaval of boarding. In addition, popular providers in this space include Dubai Cat Sitting, which specializes in overnight stays and includes complimentary home care services, as well as My Pawland, which offers a quick 24-hour booking system and regular pet updates.

Choosing the best option for your feline companion
When choosing a pet sitting service in the UAE, take into account your cat’s behavior and how it feels around unfamiliar people, the duration of your time away, any extra services required (like giving medication or grooming), your financial plan, and how close the sitter is to your home. Hence, ensuring your cat receives the appropriate care they deserve involves evaluating these factors carefully.
When selecting a pet sitting service in the UAE, important to consider are these factors:
- Your cat’s personality and comfort level with strangers
- Length of your absence
- Additional services needed (medication, grooming, etc.)
- Budget considerations
